Aver Top contains Chlorpyriphos and is therefore discontinued with immediate effect. Panchkhal Beej Bhandar & Agro Center has stopped all import, distribution, and sale of this product in full compliance with the government order, and existing dealer stock is being withdrawn from sale. Introduction
Aver Top was a broad-spectrum combination insecticide from Panchkhal Beej Bhandar containing Chlorpyriphos and Cypermethrin. This pairing of an organophosphate and a pyrethroid delivered powerful contact, stomach, and vapour action against a wide range of crop pests, and was formerly one of the most widely used insecticides across Nepal's vegetable and field crop farming before the Chlorpyrifos ban.
How It Works
Chlorpyriphos inhibits acetylcholinesterase in the insect nervous system, causing nerve signal accumulation and paralysis. Cypermethrin disrupts sodium channel function in nerve membranes, producing rapid knockdown and mortality. The combination provides complementary and synergistic activity against both chewing and sucking insects.
