Nepal's Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development (MOALD) has banned the production, formulation, import, export, commercial use, storage, sale, distribution, and transportation of three highly hazardous pesticides — Paraquat/Paraquat Dichloride, Chlorpyrifos, and Phorate — under a gazette notification published on 5 December 2024 (Nepal Gazette, Section 74).
Our insecticide Aver Top (Chlorpyriphos 50% + Cypermethrin 5% EC) contains Chlorpyrifos and is therefore discontinued with immediate effect. Panchkhal Beej Bhandar & Agro Center has stopped all import, distribution, and sale of this product in full compliance with the government order. Existing dealer stock is being withdrawn from sale.
